Double Digits for John Hardy!!!

On Feb 22nd, John Hardy celebrated his 10th birthday.  Before the special day, we had big plans to be in the capital city, sitting beside a large pool, eating pizza, having a special day, and then all our plans changed.  In fact, not only did we not get to go traveling, but we had a large group of guests staying at our house on the day of his birthday, making any playing in the yard almost impossible.  What seemed like a fabulous birthday plan had soon turned into a 'second rate' party.  Thankfully we were able to invite our friends, both American and Chadian over to have some cake, play some games and open presents.  The Lord arranged it so that our guests happened to be out at the time of the party, and the kids were able to play in the yard, and everyone had a good time.  I was so proud of John Hardy, who instead of complaining that his plans were ruined, decided to trust God's changing of plans and didn't grumble one bit.  I guess he is growing up in more ways than just growing tall.
