Tobias in the Hospital
Many of you have been keeping up with our e-mails about Tobias being in the hospital for RSV and have been asking for some update on his condition. Therefore, we are moving the news reporting to our blog here so that your inbox is not flooded with updates. I will try to post at least once each day until we go home so you can see what kind of progress he is making.
Sunday, Jan 22
He is still hanging out in the ICU. When you think ICU, don't think of tiny babies in incubators, that's the NICU. We are on the Pediatric ICU floor where there are children of all ages. He is here because he needed a higher concentration and flow of oxygen than they could provide him on the regular childrens' hospital floor. So far, he is doing well with that increased oxygen, but their goal is to eventually wean him off of it so that he can breathe normally on his own and go home. So, now we are just waiting; waiting for him to cough up all the stuff hanging out in his lungs, and waiting for him to become stronger and able to breathe on his own. I wish we could rush this part, but it just takes time. As the old adage goes, "patience is a virtue"!

Thanks so much for the update, Lindsey! We've been thinking of him and praying for him so much. Will keep up the prayers for this precious boy. He's such a cutie!

These moments are divine respites for the future. God's presence and power in purposeful moments of waiting prepare you for future glory to the name of Jesus.
