Happy 7th Birthday Chaya!

Today Chaya turned 7, and since her birthday fell on a Sunday, it meant that we celebrated all weekend.  We started Friday with pizza (olives and cheese) and a movie (Dolphin Tale) both of her choosing.  Then on Saturday, we had a double birthday celebration with one our our friends also turning 7 this week.  Because their family had just received two blow up pools in the mail, we had an all American 'pool party' and ate burgers and rice crispy treats, watched another movie and went home exhausted!  {Pictures to Come!}

Today, we had 'Silver Dollar Waffles' for breakfast, and opened gifts (a dress, an umbrella that sits on your head, some marbles, a key chain and ring, and some stickers).  And lastly, we played games (hide and seek in the dark, tickle war and pillow fight).  One birthday tradition we have started is taking turns going around the room and sharing why we are thankful for the birthday person.  Some of today's responses included that Chaya loves to play with anyone, whatever they want to play or make believe, and never insists on playing her own thing.  She loves to share, things like her bed with Noa, and candy with her siblings.  Chaya loves to do dishes and never complains about that chore.  She loves taking care of William and can often be found lugging him around when he cries.  Lastly, she has an incredibly loud voice which does come in handy from time to time.
Chaya, we love you, and you really live up to your name because you are truly full of LIFE!!!
