Microscope

Just recently, James and I were encouraged to find ways to nurture our kids' curiosity to learn.  One of the things suggested was to purchase a beginner microscope.  It was something we thought aout doing for a Christmas present, but never got around to it.  So today, John Hardy and I were pleasantly surprised to find a "student microscope kit" at the local thrift store.  No bother that it's probably 40 years old.  After taking it out of the box, and adding our own light source (Eliana's reading light) we were still able to examine the plant slides that came with it, and other interesting things around us.  It sparks even my curiosity to learn about the amazing world around me that God has designed even to the minute detail.

Here is a picture of our 'find', and for the low price of $10.  That's a steal considering 40 years ago it was originally sold for $50.

  1. Wow, that's exciting that you found that whole set for so cheap! What a great way to spark the kids' interest and the care God takes in every detail.
