Being Sick

We have had influenza for the past 6 days now....all 7 of us.  We thought we were done, but this evening, 3 fevers reoccurred.  At this point, I am just glad we are on the up side of it, and not the down!  Thankfully, most of us have taken it in stride, and I can say there were actually some good things that came out of a week of being sick.  So, here is a short list of the pro's that we came up with as a family.

Pro's:
1. "You get to lay around all day in your PJ's and eat ramen noodles." - John Hardy
2. "You get to watch movies all day."  - Chaya
3. "You get to listen to Hali talk"...which is surprisingly more than usual and comprised of cute and delirious jibber-jabber. - James
4. "You get to be waited on by others, and maybe they will even draw you a picture." - Eliana
5.  "Things slow down to a pleasant and quiet crawl." - Lindsey
6.  You might even get one on one "daddy time" at 4 a.m. - Hali
7.  And for Noa, she has had more baths in the past week than she has had since we moved to Canada.

Just a sampling of our meds, and a quick plug for the best raw nose remedy.  The Purple tube above is my new favorite moisturizer (much to my children's dismay).  It's Lanolin...or "sheep grease" as they like to call it.  It is incredible for fighting dry skin, especially up here in cold and blistery Canada!

Here, our friend Brian came to check out our oxygen levels...all good, thankfully!

Looks like we'll be fighting off a residual cough for the next two weeks.  Only more opportunity to count it all joy...!
