Pig Roast at the Barn
This Saturday was a first for our family, we went to a pig roast. Our friends have just recently put up a barn at their home, and so to celebrate and to welcome the beautiful fall season, they decided to have a pig roast.
On a side note, we have been listening to the audio of "Anne of Green Gables", and as she would put it, the party was "perfectly romantic".
The kids especially had a wonderful time playing games, having potato sack races, and seeing who's dad could eat a donut hanging off a string while lying on the ground the fastest. The adults, of course mostly enjoyed sitting around tables of yummy food, catching up with old friends. They even had a four piece bluegrass band. It took everything in me to keep myself from getting up and dancing. To top it off, it turns out it was the host's birthday. What a fun way to celebrate a birthday...with friends you love!
