Come to the Hilton, N'djamena!

Hotels are generally things we take for granted in the US.  Obviously there are lots of ways to get them and all sorts of different types.  In N'djamena (the capital of Chad) we have never stayed in a hotel - only various guest houses.  This is due to the variety of hotels available.  On one end of the spectrum, you can essentially get a brothel, on the other, it is a luxury hotel.  Though the Kempenski was a mainstay for years, it has since left and been eclipsed by Hilton, N'djamena.  We were able to visit the Hilton for some tea last March...it was nice!  Below are some photos - by the way, you can come and stay, just book online (the prices vary from $200 - $2000 per night)!

Back to front:  Hali, Chaya, and Noa - all enjoying tea at the Hilton

Probably the nicest bathroom in all N'Djamena.
Even with a private toilet!

Art in the lobby!
Best of all - a pool that will open to non-hotel customers (for a fee)!

Overall, a great afternoon with the girls!
