Other People's Kids

As some of you already know, we are not planning to move to Africa alone.  We are officially part of a team of three families.  One of the things that drew us to the idea of working alongside one of these families was the way we admired their kids, or maybe their parenting rather.  They have sought to honor the Lord in the way they parent, and it really shows.  Even so, no matter how wonderful children are, it can be hard to know how kids will relate to one another.  Here in the US, it may not be that big of a deal... if your kids don't get along, just find other kids to play with.  But if your kids are the only children that speak the same language, or come from the same country as you, then it it a big deal whether they get along or not.  This is something we have been praying about for some time, and it has been such a blessing to see how the Lord has answered those prayers.  Let's just say, I think this is the beginning of some really wonderful and lasting friendships!  Here is a picture of the older half of the bunch, enjoying some time together at the ice rink.
