Desert Snow Man
If you look closely you will notice something very out of place in this picture....
The kids and I made a snowman out of old broken water pots, painted it to look real and put it in our friend's yard to bring her some Christmas cheer. (That was over a month ago now.) It's amazing what a little scenery does to change the season. At the same time, every time I saw the little guy, something inside of me cringed thinking that by the end of the day he would be melted in the soaring 90*+ temperatures. But he didn't, and he just keeps standing there smiling at us.
Even though we have been here for more than 2 years now, we still feel as out of place as that snowman does in Chad. Maybe we will always feel like that. Hopefully Chad will get used to us no matter how out of place we feel.
