Baby Noa

Yea for another girl!  When I was first pregnant, I was really hoping for a boy, and even after the ultrasound told us that it was going to be a girl, I was still slightly hoping they were wrong and it would turn out to be a boy.  But once you take the first look at the precious baby God has given you, there is nothing in your heart but love and thankfulness for this new little gift!  And it is a beautiful baby girl.
We picked the name Noa, not because we were hoping for a boy, but because of its significance.  It means 'movement'.  Of all the things that we felt characterized this time in our lives, the word movement seemed to capture it well.  So many things have began to change, and our lives are moving in a new direction, that we felt the name Noa was appropriate.  I'm sure we will confuse most people and have to explain that yes, it is a girls' name, but maybe it won't be that way in Chad.  And Faye as a middle name means 'faith', which sums up our reason for moving.  We have faith that this is where God wants us to be, and faith that he will be present and moving among us while we are there.  We pray that our faith will grow as we take each new step, and be able to look back at the faithfulness of our God.  We are rejoicing in the birth of our new baby Noa, and rejoicing in the coming of our Savior into the world as tiny helpless baby.  It has been a wonderful advent season!
